I did the park run on Saturday and managed to take 9 seconds off my pb so now its 19:08, not quite under 19 yet but its close. I did 5 miles easy yesterday in 37:24 wearing my Newton shoes which are feeling pretty good, my calves are holding up nicely so will keep with them whilst the weather holds out.
Today was a hilly 7 miler which I had to do on a treadmill due to the lack of hills around here. I did 600m hills at 2%, 3%, 2 x 4% and ending with 2 x 6% with 1k of flat running in between, total time 57:24.
They were hard work, especially the last 2 and I'm glad its only 5 miles easy tomorrow. Training seems to be going well though and any little niggles I thought I had have all but gone although my left ITB seems a little sore after the hills today.
Will be interesting to see how the park run goes this Sat. after a full weeks training.
