Well, I ran my first Cambridge run in the park on Saturday and it was really good. I did the 5k in 19:17 which wasn't bad for my first run as its a little twisty and with racing flats I was a little dubious at some bends because it looked a little slippery. I will be making these as regular as possible now as I want to work on my speed a little this winter.
It would be nice to get somewhere close to 18 minutes but I'll have to lose the 3 extra kgs I've put on since the Outlaw. Hopefully that should go soon after I start my half marathon schedule next week. Oh and when I stop eating lots of crap like cheesecake etc!!
I won't be doing much training this week as I've got the worlds on Saturday but I'll do a little speed work just so my legs don't go to sleep. Hopefully the weather will be kind to me and it will be a good weekends racing.
My shoulder is still playing up so no swimming for me yet, I'm looking forward to getting back in the pool to concentrate on my technique for a few months.. Hopefully if I rest it as much as I can it won't take much longer.
