Henlow 10

Despite feeling as if recovery is slow these days my results are still improving. I took 3 minutes off last years time for the 10 mile race and got a new PB with a time of 01:06:50. There were a lot more hills than I remember from last year and it was quite cold, cold enough to get me in a long sleeved base layer which is unusual for me. I kept the pace reasonably steady all the way around and even managed to sprint for the finish. I often think my glutes aren't working as much as they should be so have been making an effort to think specifically on them whenever I remember too. I did that a fair bit during the race and I don't know if its a coincidence but my glutes are really sore today, maybe they did work hard for a change.

Next is Fenland 10 which is supposed to be flat, hopefully the wind will stay mild and I'll get nearer the 65 minutes that I want.
